About

About me: By request of friends and family, I've finally decided to write about my adventures in a tiny kitchen. I've made a commitment to being vegetarian and being informed about what's in my food and where those ingredients come from. A more organic, local, and seasonal diet means more time in the garden and more time in the kitchen!


About the treats: Here you will find the joys of flour and sugar, as well as more savory recipes for soups, salads, and entrĂ©es. Some recipes are taken straight from my favorite cookbooks and food blogs, and others are my own creations. Many of my recipes can be labeled vegan and/or gluten-free, but I'm in a complicated love affair with cheese and bread (you can read about my thoughts on nutrition here). Those recipes that aren't listed as vegan or gluten-free can easily be adapted with gluten-free flour, Earth Balance, soy-based products, and egg replacers.
