About me: By request of friends and family, I've finally decided to write about my adventures in a tiny kitchen. I've made a commitment to being vegetarian and being informed about what's in my food and where those ingredients come from. A more organic, local, and seasonal diet means more time in the garden and more time in the kitchen!


About the treats: Here you will find the joys of flour and sugar, as well as more savory recipes for soups, salads, and entrées. Some recipes are taken straight from my favorite cookbooks and food blogs, and others are my own creations. Many of my recipes can be labeled vegan and/or gluten-free, but I'm in a complicated love affair with cheese and bread (you can read about my thoughts on nutrition here). Those recipes that aren't listed as vegan or gluten-free can easily be adapted with gluten-free flour, Earth Balance, soy-based products, and egg replacers.
